The following is a growing list of published writings of Eriq Neale, dating back as early as 1989. Links to the actual articles/chapters/etc. are present when available, otherwise links point to sites with information about the publications or places where the publications can be purchased.

Some by-lines list the author as Eric Neil Lipscomb. Rest assured, Eric Lipscomb and Eriq Neale are the same person, thanks to a small legal document signed in November of 1992.

"Another Way to Cruise the Internet" published in the July/August 1994 issue of Benchmarks. Article introduces the World-Wide-Web to a historically Gopher-centered audience.

"Apathy Alert" published in the March/April 1994 issue of Benchmarks. Article about the loss of interest surrounding the Michelangelo virus that first struck in 1992.

"Confessions of a Former Mac Hater" published in the January/February 1994 issue of Benchmarks. Article about the (then) new AV-based Macintoshes, the Quadra 660AV and the Quadra 840AV.

"What Would You Do With a Virus if You Had One?" published in the November 1993 issue of Benchmarks. Article about the increasing number and destructive power of PC viruses versus the increasing lack of concern on the part of computer users.

Review of The Visual Guide to Visual Basic by Richard Mansfield, published in Fall 1993 volume of Library Software Review on page 76.

"USENET: An Overview" published under the name Eric Lipscomb in the May 1991 issue of Benchmarks. Article introduces the reader to USENET by giving a history and recent status. Though dated, the information is still useful to those experienceing USENET for the first time. This article was referenced by a number of other published works on USENET in the twelve months following its initial appearance in Benchmarks.

"How Much for Just the MIDI?" published under the name Eric Lipscomb in the October 1989 issue of Benchmarks. Article introduces the reader to the Musical Instrument Digital Interface, its standards, and its practical uses. This article has been reprinted and posted on the web multiple times as a beginner's reference to the topic. Some of the information in the article is dated, and an edited version appears on the Harmony Central web site.
